The Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 is the premium variant of Eversolo’s mid-range network music streamer, adding Accusilicon femtosecond clocks and expanded internal storage over the standard A6 Gen 2 while sharing the same dual ESS ES9038Q2M DAC architecture and XMOS XU316 audio interface.

Clocking and Signal Precision

The defining upgrade in the Master Edition is the inclusion of Accusilicon femtosecond-precision crystal oscillators. These clocks minimize jitter at the DAC conversion stage, tightening transient edges and improving spatial resolution in complex recordings. The audible result is a more focused soundstage with sharper instrument placement — a difference most apparent on well-recorded acoustic and orchestral material.

Processing and Storage

A quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB internal storage handles the operating system, streaming applications, and library management. An M.2 NVMe 3.0 SSD slot accepts drives up to 4TB, allowing the Master Edition to function as a self-contained music server for users who prefer local file playback or want a backup of their high-resolution library.

DAC Performance and Format Support

The dual ES9038Q2M chips process left and right channels independently, decoding high-resolution formats including DSD512, PCM 768 kHz, and MQA. This per-channel separation reduces crosstalk and provides cleaner channel imaging than shared-chip designs.

Connectivity

Networking options include dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G), Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and Bluetooth 5.0 with LDAC and aptX HD. HDMI ARC integration allows direct TV audio input. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs accommodate a wide range of amplification, from desktop headphone amps to full-scale power amplifiers.
