The DAC 3.1x/II Balanced opens the Level 3 tier. No-oversampling Analogue Devices AD1865 conversion, valve output stage feeding a copper-wound balanced output transformer. Pairs naturally with the P4 Balanced Tonmeister or any AN UK balanced power amp downstream.

Six DACs climbing through the Audio Note UK tier ladder. The brand uses non-oversampling (NOS) R2R conversion throughout — no delta-sigma, no upsampling. The output stage moves from solid-state at the entry tier (0.1x) to fully valve-based + silver-wired by Level 5 (DAC 5). Each tier matches the rest of the catalogue: a DAC 2.1x belongs with a Level 2 amp / preamp pairing.
