About the
Audio Note Fifth Force.
The Fifth Force is the external power supply built specifically for the Fifth Element IZVOR DAC. It houses a version of Audio Note UK’s patented Galahad feed-forward supply, as used in the M9 preamplifier, with full valve rectification, regulation and voltage stabilisation. Mounting the supply in its own chassis isolates the DAC’s sensitive digital and analogue stages from transferred noise and keeps the analogue signal paths short and clean. The companion shunt-type digital supply, designed by Andy Grove, reaches a −130 dB noise floor.
